  • 1 handful Olives (de-pitted if you prefer)
  • 1/2 handful Capers

  • 4 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 bunch Fresh Basil (roughly torn)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

If smoked tuna is too strong for you, just double up on the normal tuna. You may even use salmon instead of the tuna too. Another option if you love chilli, do add as such as you like into the sauce as its simmering.

Step 1
Boil Pasta according to packet directions.
Whilst pasta is boiling, place garlic and onion in a saucepan with the olive oil.
Slightly sauté and add in the tunas.
Stirring around, add in the olives, capers and sundried tomatoes if using.
Pour in the tomato.
Give it a stir and add in salt and pepper.
At this time add in half a bunch of the fresh basil and let simmer gently for about 10 minutes.
Once the pasta is aldente, drain the water and return to the pot.
Toss in the sauce and serve.
With the remainder of the fresh basil, place torn leaves on top of the pasta and serve.
